Bio

I have over 20 years of experience helping regular Calgarians deal with the typical legal issues that come up during everyday life. Supported by an experienced Real Estate and Estates paralegals (they have 34 and 27 years of experience respectively) we advise and represent people in matters including things like buying and selling homes, refinancing or transferring ownership, dealing with Estates when someone dies, work with people to do proper wills so that the dealing with Estates goes smoother, drafting Enduring Powers of Attorney (EPOAs) and Personal Directives (PD’s) so that peoples personal, health and money matters can be looked after if they cannot do it themselves because of illness or accident in the future. If someone doesn’t have an EPOA or PD in place or aren’t competent to do it, I’ll prepare Guardianship and/or trusteeship applications if necessary.

Before I became a lawyer i.e., the first 18 years of my working life, I worked closely with special needs populations and I am pretty aware of, and sensitive to, the needs of that population, their families, seniors and the elderly when it comes to planning for the future.

We also understand our clients’ mobility challenges. As a result, we often make “house calls”, go to hospitals, and attend at seniors care facilities particularly for those who are ill and housebound, to frail to travel to the office for a visit, or for clients with special needs.
